Dr. Carrissa Williams
Executive Director
Dr. Williams is a Licensed Psychologist with a PhD in Counseling Psychology and a successful small business owner who has built and scaled a thriving wellness organization serving communities across Connecticut. As CEO & Founder of Small Victories Wellness Services, she leads a multidisciplinary team of more than 40 clinicians and staff committed to social justice and expanding access to high-quality, culturally responsive mental health care.
Her experience in organizational growth, financial oversight, and team leadership strengthens the Foundation’s strategic direction, operational stability, and commitment to measurable community impact.

Brian Thomas
Director of Development
Brian is an accomplished nonprofit development professional specializing in fundraising strategy, donor engagement, and organizational sustainability. In his role as Director of Development at The Connection, Inc., he leads revenue growth efforts supporting behavioral health, reentry, and community support services across Connecticut. Brian brings strong financial stewardship, grant strategy, and partnership development expertise to the Foundation, ensuring long-term viability and responsible growth. Brian recently earned a certification in Nonprofit Management from Southern Connecticut State University.

Devonna Dionne
Director of Communications
Devonna holds a B.S. in Business Management and an MBA in Business Analytics, grounding her strategic, data-driven approach to communications. With over 15 years of experience leading brand, messaging, and stakeholder engagement initiatives within mission-driven organizations, she brings deep expertise in marketing, digital engagement, web accessibility, and inclusive design. She ensures the Foundation’s messaging and platforms are mission-aligned, compliant, and accessible to diverse audiences — strengthening stakeholder trust, expanding community reach, and reinforcing organizational credibility.
